President’s Message

 Dear Friends,

Plant some Milkweed in your garden…create a habitat for the Monarch butterfly.

What an incredible journey it has been for our club and our community! While we began simply as a group of like-minded women who sponsored a flower show, we now celebrate eight decades of dedication to the study of horticulture, the pursuit of projects contributing to the beautification of Milford, and the development of active partnerships with other community organizations (Milford Enhancement Committee, Pike County Conservation District, Habitat for Humanity, Pennsylvania Horticultural Society, Ecumenical Food Pantry, the Community House Foundation and the Historic Preservation Trust of Pike County).

Our club has grown into a community of believers in Emerson’s words: “Flowers are a proud assertion that a ray of beauty outvalues all the utilities of the world”.

We begin a vigorous and exhilarating year of programming and celebration. This is due in no small part to the participation of each and every one of you to make this the best year ever. Like a family, we all play a part in the success of our endeavors. Thank you in advance for your support in whatever way you can!

In reflection, thank you to all those who have come before us to make the Milford Garden Club possible. In anticipation, come join us and let’s make this a stellar year!!!
