The Milford Garden Club is a member of the Garden Club Federation of Pennsylvania (GCFP). This organization is comprised of 115 Member Clubs totaling approximately 5,500 individuals. The GCFP is a member of the National Garden Clubs, Inc., the largest volunteer gardening organization in the world. Pennsylvania is part of the Central Atlantic Region comprised of Pennsylvania and neighboring states of Delaware, Maryland, Ohio, New York, New Jersey and the National Capitol Area (parts of Virginia, Maryland, and all of the District of Columbia).
Membership in the GCFP provides a level of reference and integrity. It is a source for networking with other like-minded groups, providing resources, ideas, and support services. GCFP also provides state schools (environmental education, landscape design, leadership forums, flower show judging) as well as scholarships.
The GCFP State Convention’s theme is Our Pennsylvania Tapestry: Putting the Pieces Together (April 23-25, 2017) and will take place at Shawnee Inn. For more information, go to http://www.pagardenclubs.org.
